I’m back with a book review! Today’s review is a little book entitled The Truth About the Lordship of Christ by John MacArthur. It is part of “The Truth About” series that includes two other books, one about grace and the other about forgiveness.
This is not new material. Instead, The Truth About the Lordship of Christ is a compilation of previously published material by John MacArthur specifically dealing with the topic of Christ’s authority in both creation in general and our lives specifically. It is more of a resource book than one for general reading. There is no introductory chapter, nor is there truly a cohesive flow between the chapters. Instead, the book feels like a collection of essays on a specific topic.
The Truth About the Lordship of Christ can be a helpful tool for a six week study or as a resource for teaching and discipling in areas related to the topic of Christ’s sovereignty. As John MacArthur is a Scripturally sound, solid teacher, it is very handy to have a collection of his writings on a single subject bound together in one place. The entire series is one I would recommend anyone having on the shelf for personal reminders, Bible study resources, and discipleship purposes.
This book was sent to me by Book Sneeze in exchange for my honest review.
